Most disrespectful owner I’ve EVER encounted-
Establishment: Exchange Street Bistro
Location: Malden
It’s a shame because this is a beautiful venue with a great chef but the owner is the most disrespectfu piece of shit I’ve ever met in over 20 years in the business. His name is John Carlino and he talks to his staff like a drill sargent. I’ve witnessed a number of his tirades so excessive and unreasonable as to reduce his help to tears in front of guests and to drive away diners in discomfort. In addition to this, he’s 40+ years old and hires barely legal servers that he talks to as sexually inappropriate as I’ve ever heard and worse. He is, by the way married to what appears to be a very good woman and has 2 young children. I would discourage anyone from working for him now matter how appealing the place might seem, the work is beyond reason and the owner could not be worse. I would even discourage patronizing his establishment and fanning his flames. On a positive note, if his chef gets fed up with his bullshit, I would strongly suggest going anywhere he is. His name is
