Jesus H Christ!!! Are all you nimrods pussies or just plain stupid!!??!!
It’s against the law to withold tips or have an automatic tip out to other employees!!!
I make great money just cause I tip the grunts more $$$!!
They cause it meant more money for them.
Face it, the more you tip them, the better they will help you in any situation!!!
If they know they’re getting a certain amount, guaranteed…whether they hussled or not…what’s their incentive to work harder??!!!
This is freaking me out. I need to go back to waiting tables. I have done both. I have been told that I am to old to bartend anymore. So I have been looking into going back into the waiting tables. My friend who works at a fine dinning restaurant (Bonnell’s)in Fort Worth, told me she has to tip out the bartender/hostess/manager and 4% for credit card tips. Hell NO!! I have been in the business for over 25+ years.I like what Dianeand Chi said. By the way I still look and act very young. But I have notice that most all bartenders (women) are sooo young. Help!!
In Massachusetts, there is something about allowing a tip pool to be shared with employees that interact with customers. The Bar, Bussers, and yes Hosts. It says that this pool can be up to 3%. I saw it in a book once don’t know how certain that this is actually true.
HEARD THAT! lol, the PIMP machine is the worst! it is against the law and one of the dozens of reasons i quit!

It is against mass wage laws to require you to tip hostess, or anyone else for that matter. You should call the wage board and turn them in. They will investigate and make themn pay you back
