Waitstaff forced to tip out managers & salaried kitchen staff

Establishment: Small 65 Seat Italian Eatery

Location: Dedham/W. Roxbury Line

Head chef enforcing manager being tipped out by waitstaff and owner not wanting to challenge head chef over this issue, knowing that it is not legal!

File a complaint with the labor dept, they`ll get your money back

I live in Houston. I used to work at a place called Sam’s Boat. When I started working there, they were settling a lawsuit about a 3% manager tip out. They had been doing it since they opened in 1981. They lost over $200,000 in the deal. It was a class action lawsuit. If I were you, I would call the labor board and an attorney.
