A public apology
Establishment: Tizi Melloul
Location: 531 North Wells
My name is John, I am a former employee of Tizi Melloul who posted a venomous rant about the owners in February 2009. I owe both Mike and Steven a public apology. What I wrote was not an accurate reflection of the time I spent working for the restaurant. What I wrote IS an accurate reflection of personal problems that I have.
What I did was cowardly, deceitful, malicious, vindictive, manipulative, immature, and CHILDISH!
I failed to write in the post that I made a good living at the restaurant, had a lot of fun, had back problems which made me a liability, that I put in a notice to quit and then tried to come back…and that overall I really was treated just fine.

I smell a load of BS.
Like the stench of management, owners or pissed off co-worker posing as “John”.
Sorry douchebag, not buying this load of troll trash.
I know this guy beacuse i worked with him at this restaurant. He is coward and full of crap. This place is an abortion.
Ok, how much am I loving this site, huh?
I too worked at Tizi Melloul and how this place stays in business is beyond me. I was hired there after interviewing with the slimy little owner Steve who is good at first impressions and makes you want to believe that its a cool place to work, for which I quit my previous job. I guess the first sign that something wasn’t quite right with this place should have been the fact that there was a mass exodus of about four servers immediately after I was hired, one of them in fact was a girl who had just trained me and then I’m told that she was fired because of on going problems she was having with management. In my opinion however, she was the only one there who actually seemed to care anything about the job and had any food and wine knowledge. I immediately found out the real deal with Steven Ford once I started working there. Turns out he’s this nervous, fidgety little man with several compulsive disorders who leans towards clinical schizoprenia. After working there for about 2 weeks or so he comes up to me without any prior warning and says to me that “this isn’t working out between us” and that I’m fired. I guess my first clue should have been the other server who was there probably “John”,doing my sidework. I was left to wonder if this was because I never smoked out and did lines with him and his business parter in the office like the other employees did, the all nighters at the bar after business had closed, or the “all staff encouraged to attend because I’m so cool and you like me” football games on tv at Steve’s Millineum Park condo

I didn’t read the original thread but it almost sounds like you had to apologize for something that really you shouldn’t have. If you had a bad experience there so be it. That’s what this site is for. Did you file for workman’s comp or unemployment and the only way you would get it is if you sent an apology? Get a back bone - sorry if yours is hurting right now - hope your feeling better!!
