Beware of any employer inviting you to an “orientation” if you have not even had an interview. Ask if they have regularly scheduled “orientations”. If so, the orientation is probably just an “open call”. Do not assume you have a job. I fell for this earlier this spring. I went into their Lincoln/Roscoe location only to fill out a SHITLOAD of paperwork for nothing. A little corporate ASSHOLE who conducted the orientation simply had us fill out forms and kept up a running commentary on all the ways we could get FIRED!!!! Apparently, their clients complain a lot. But their clients are only institutions such as hospitals and universities. What kind of a job is that? I’ll never go back to a food service employment agency. They’ll waste your time.

The Portland and Seattle pages at this site have current info on what is going on with this company there. Once again, a “franchise owner” has disappeared, leaving unpaid wages and taxes in his wake. Even for a temp agency these people are awful.
I second this! I went to Food Team in Minneapolis. Interviewed with a surly hr guy. He was dismissive of my abilities having never seen me cook.
Prior to applying for them I had just finished a gig as a Sous Chef for a Hotel here in Minneapolis. I was in charge of thier catering department.
I was utterly amazed at how unprofessional this guy was. Mid way through the “interview” (abuse meeting) I asked for my resume and paperwork back, left, and reported them to the state due to the hiring manager’s attitude.
From what I hear they simply suck to work for.
I have never ended an interview before. Utterly amazing how much a bottom feeder low-life this guy was. All the while I am there there are two other applicants who act shocked and leave without saying anything.
Wow.
They suck.
