Sexual Harrasment and Family Favoritism

I worked at Peggys a while back. The cooks are all of latin descent and think that if you are a female you basically deserve getting harassed. I even got a tip from an older male waiter that I should NEVER bend down to pick something up because I will get my ass groped. Unlucky for me, I had to get something from a freezer and what happened, you guessed it. MY ASS WAS GRABBED. I was constantly getting sexual comments made towards me. It was extremely uncomfortable. The customers there are all yuppy suburbanites who think that because you are a server you are a second class citizan. The owner is an irish prick who lets his son (who is a waiter there) do whatever the hell he wants. Other workers there have to work late in order for his son to go out on a saturday night. Not only is he a prick but he is just plain dumb. On my application it said I was 18, I even had said it to the owner but NOOOOOO he assumed I was 19 and I guess you cant serve alcohol until you are 19, I had just moved out on my own and 1 month into the job he lets me go because i cant legally serve alcohol. The thing that is a real kick in the nuts though is that his son who had been working there for years and serving alcohol (even drinking at the bar) was 17!!!!!!! I got let go because his son was family. SOOOO FUCKED UP!!! Also the food there is made so unsanitary and the rediculously overpriced desserts and soups are basically just heated up in a microwave, not even made fresh to order. I could make this food better in my own home.
NEVER WORK THERE OR EVEN EAT THERE
That how it goes in small restaurants. My experience with Latinos they’re not really concerned about gender when someone bends over : ( But the law is 18 to serve 21 to pour. Thats bullshit, but you’re better off.
