I don’t know where exactly to begin. As for overtime, did not concern me, however a lawyer trying to contact me via facebook wanted to what I knew of; overtime for unpaid employees, and falsification of records. Another thing I love about this place is, that it has to be one of the most thankless and inconsiderate places to work. One of the other locations Rosebud Trattoria, the GM Trevor Gould goes to corporate requesting for more help. The assistant manager happens to be pregnant. Alex Dana owner/ CEO tell Trevor to keep his mouth shut and fires the lady the next day . Trevor of course quits the next day. and that lady I hope she sues the shit out of Alex Dana. There was a waiter Ernesto who was fired last year. Ernesto after 40 hours would punch in as party server to not accrue over time. He was never compensated hourly for that. Instead he would get tables to wait on. There is a waiter that still works there Gerardo Zamora who works 6 nights 3 of them doubles and on fridays and saturdays, punches in as party server, just like Ernesto did. That is not only illegal it is disgusting. To sum it up in a nutshell, mediocre $ and a horrible place to work.
sadly, it’s people not from this country that are willing to ignore the labor laws and work cheaper that challenge US job stability.
There are 2 wrongs, 1) Owners, who willfully ignore labor laws and exploit people who are desperate.
2) Desperate illegal immigrants willing to sell themselves cheaply and take whatever abuse is dished out.
Their only value is their cheap labor,and there is a constant steady supply of them thanks to the fact that poor people breed like rabbits perpetuating poverty.
REPORT THEM to the Federal and State Tax offices who are looking for every tax penny these days and local and state labor boards for any other violations.
