Would anyone like to contact these assholes and explain the meaning of the term “AGE DISCRIMINATION”???????? And I am 31 years old! I wouldn’t apply at this place. Asking for photos is bad enough…what is happening to this industry and why has every single pervert, moron, blowhard, and imbecile decided to pursue hospitality/F&B careers?

I totally understand where you are coming from.It pisses me off too.They might as well say”ugly people need not apply”,why not?!Its the same thing!!What really pisses me off is that those assholes would rather hire hot ditzy,dumb as a box of rocks girls/guys,than hire a girl/guy that has expierence.The joke is on them because those types of places fail,so what goes around comes around.Another thing that grinds my gears is ads on CL that just say”wanted:server,bartender.email resume”,with no info about the restaurant at all!!How about include the name of your restaurant,or the address,so i know how far i have to travel.I stay away from those ads.I think the reason they do that is so that we the job seeker wont be able to research the establishment,and im sure its a place with very high turnover.We should call a lawyer and take them to court.

I swear to God, I want to send a 50-year-old with a kick-ass resume in this place and when he/she doesn’t get hired, call a lawyer! Any info on why employers are allowed to ask for pictures on Craigslist? Many colleagues have told me this practice is perfectly okay, but I’m not so sure….

Long story short - worked at a place where the ownership changed. Was there for 1 1/2 yrs. Knew they wanted to make changes. The girl that was let go was there for 8 years and other people longer. I at the time was working sat days, sun, mon and tues nts. When I started there was no business on these nights. I did a good job at getting and keeping customers! At the time I was 44 yrs old. I was making a good 150 a shift sometimes more. When they let the girl go who had been there for 8 years I asked for her shifts bc it was daytime and it would be great for me - my kids were still in grammar school - anyway the guy told me No - It’s OK - I have it covered - I’m hiring a “Hooter’s Girl”. I quit that day - never been bak - talked to all my regulars who never went back and still follow me now. The “girl” they hired robbed them blind, the next one didn’t know her face from her ass - they went through 9 girls before they finally found 1. Don’t you think it would have been easier and less costly to just move me into the day shift. I already knew these people!!! Anyway I was quite taken back - I was 44 a size 4 and always put together quite nice — didn’t leave em hanging on the bar in everyones face though!!

This is a great place to vent!!!
