Just curious

Suppose…just suppose…that a restaurant owner takes seriously some of the stuff written on this site, and as a result changes the offensive practices…maybe slowly, but finally everything gets to be above board. Is this okay? Is this what is wanted? What about all of the recycled and (some) malicious posts that keep coming up over and over so that employees are angry the minute they are offered the job, before they have even given it a shot. How would you, as applicants and workers, want such a situation handled if you–by accident–apply for a job at such a place?

By moving this comment here, where few will see it, the adminstrators of the website shows me that their interest is not in effecting change. This is a serious question by a serious employer who has made an effort to rise above the bad old days…but no one will ever know that. And the corrections were made months and years ago, but the same old comments from way back keep getting recycled. We cannot announce who we are because we will be even more ridiculed. It is very discouraging.

well…what have you done to make things better for your employees? are you going to go back and give everybody the money you took from them? pay them the hours you shaved off their time cards? start providing staff meals that arent mystery left overs and almost spoiled food? stop screaming and yelling in front of them and customers? stop talking about girls body parts in front of them in a different language?

its possible…but it takes time to repair a damaged rep. you just can’t declare karmic bankruptcy and expect the universe to follow suit.

starting a diet today doesn’t mean you’re automatically going to be thinner in two weeks. dig?

you want people to start taking what you do more seriously stop trolling this website, look at the people you got working for you right now and figure a way out how to make them and yourself work together successfully and you’ll all be better off for it.

if you really are a restaurant owner/manager you should know nothing comes cheap of free and if it does it ain’t worth it.

good luck.
