Bad bad apple !

Cafe Veneto has undergone many changes over the 2 years it has been open. Many have been attempted for the good of overall business but have made many employees suffer. A vast majority of the biz has gone next door to the better-known and higher-quality sister restaurant Locanda Veneta. Veneto has not advertised well at all. It needs to. It has brought in many executive chefs/General Managers to help, but to no avail. Recently, a very aggrivated and near-viloent chef/GM - Fernando - almost got in a fist-fight with an excellent waiter (whose name won’t be disclosed here) over nearly nothing. This was done in FRONT of customers in a rude (with loud cursing on the part of the GM) way that clearly could (and likely did) drive business away. For some reason this GM was retained. Besides the many cultural and language barriers that ALWAYS emerge in the restaurant business (everyone emloyed should know English fluently as a vast majority of the customers and vendors speak it. The same would go in any other country, respectively), this GM had pressure to perform and put it upon the staff in an obnoxious way.
This is no good. Kindness and firmness is needed. NOT totalitarian military efforts. That’s all that this guy knows. It will be his downfall for certain.
Do not work at this place! The pay is terrible and though the staff is largely friendly and good, you have one giant bad apple in the center just mentioned above.
