This place is truly one of kind. It starts at the top. The Sassounians. They are Persian. They own the restaurant and hotel. Shocking I know. I really believe they still think they are in Iran. I wish they were. But they couldn\’t get away with the shit there that they do here. Only in America.
Then there is Gil Solis their GM. This guy is such a scumbag. He used to work at the Viceroy in SM. He got fired because he got a cocktail waitress pregnant while he was married with 2 kids. He also has a coke problem I actually watched him get several nose bleeds right in front of me. But what shocks me is that he actually got a girl to do him because he is the ugliest mofo I have ever seen.
Then there is Charles Turner. Gils little monkey. Actually he is a spineless jelly fish. He let customers walk out on a 2000$ bill without tipping the waitress. But his claim to fame is sexual harassment. He is sooo sleazy about it. I cannot believe he has not caused a lawsuit. He to also worked at the Viceroy and followed Gil with his nose up his ass like a little dog.
Then another D bag. his name is Ronnie. I don\’t even know his last name cause he\’s not that important. He actually reminds me of Slingblade. I didn\’t know that retards are allowed to work with the general public.
This place makes you work 8 plus hrs and does not allow you to take a break. Then they take and hour from your pay for the lunch you never get. On top of it all if you wanted to go in on your day off, you have to get permission first, and they don\’t even give you the standard 30%. I know Persians are cheap but thats just low. I worked there for a year and was secret shopped 3 times and scored a 100% on all of them. Everyone got secret shopped and most people scored 80% and below, but I got fired for not having a check in a check presenter. Sadly that place does good business and there is nothing I can say that will make all the Hollywood wanna-be, westside yuppie, gold digging skanks not wanna go there. I just hope it burns down.

Chad, I’m sure your upset because you got fired over something silly, but honestly you were always late when ever I worked and never seemed too happy to be there. You must be really bitter to wait this long after you were fired to write something like this and honestly it’s not true. You can feel however you want to feel about people, but to tell lies about people who have families is just unfair. It’s also pretty immature to start name calling. Manners do matter at work.Blatant rudeness when someone speaks to you in an obvious demeaning tone. This is the person named Mandy. She is the only one who makes my blood pressure skyrocket. She is incredible , loud, obnoxious, and speaks in a volume louder that a Boeing 747. She pretends to be one of the owners and thinks that she is the be all. I hate working her functions, she can’t speak English and she is forever cussing in French and treats us like we are her servants.So obnoxious and creates nausea, please take a shower and stop shouting

There are 2 other people that have commented on here that are in agreement and they obviously have worked or worked there. Go do some research at the Viceroy hotel and you’ll find out I am not “lying” about the managers. It’s all true. I know people that work there. They have so many stories to tell. Take a look around The Penthouse and tell me do people look happy? TJ you sound like a girl from your tone… so don’t you as a women get upset when you see girls being sexually harassed? Don’t you think really good workers have been canned for no good reason? And what about them breaking the law by not allowing breaks. Me being late…I was just making up time for not getting what the law entitles me. For the record I did get fired from Wokcano by a GM who the owners fired 2 days later for sleeping with her staff. Honestly Chad, there is nothing more pitiful than a scorned man who cannot move on. Although you were there before my time, I know a lot of the same people still work there. Of all the many restaurants i have worked(among some of the most highly regarded in the country) my chapter at The Penthouse has been one of the most comfortable. the staff(from mgmt to bussers)truly has a sense of family as I’ve rarely seen before. Sure, there may be a couple of bad eggs, but it is LA LA land afterall, and sometimes abortions are the only solution to keep the family from collapse. I’m sure your next mommy will bear you and give you another shot. And if anything, I hope you listen when she teaches you to say something if you’re offended by someone’s actions. If you were so disgusted by this blatant sexual harassment, why did’nt you step up. We (yes I am speaking on beahlf of several of us ) are extreme;y tired of the woman who is sooooooo rude and so annooying , yet who seems to have the power to belittle us every chance she gets. I am sure that she is bipolar and is passive aggresive
She is Mandy, a horrible person to be around with. Can any of you managers stop her from coming up to the restaurant? PLEASE. She curses at us in French, little does she know that some of us understand, She talks out of her rear end , she is stubborn and always has to be right. Whenever she makes a mistake, ooppps, but whenever we make a mistake , she runs to the owners. WE HATE DOING BANQUETS whenevr she is around, instead of helping us , she always plos her ass down and eats breakfast at the bar counter. I don’t understand how the other MANAGERS dont do that but since that she is the banquet coordinator she can just talk shit and act as ubprofessional as she pleases. What get us is that , she never gets disciplined, she talks hit about the managers to us and yet she is the one creating the bullshit. Every Manager we have rbought this up to doesn’t seem to take care of the issue. SO IF YOU OWNERS AND GENERAL MANAGERS read this, please fix the issue. She kisses the clients rear ends and sucks up to you guys, but that is where all of that ends. Her attire is quite atrocius, she never combs her hair and she is not a nioce person. How come she is allowed to behave like that. She always fights with everyone and believes that she is so special just because she is related to the Owners.
