Shameless is just the beginning when it comes to Flex Mussels. The Owner Bobby Shapiro literally steals your money and then refuses to pay you what you are owed. He is a scammer, thief, manipulative and most of all his word means nothing. He will find one way or another to not pay you.
On top of that, he has many people that he pays cash and tells them that he will pay them cash and less than the going rate. Department of Labor should definitely look into this mobster mentality he has. This is not the 1980\’s. People have rights and he refuses to pay his employees overtime or offer them any kind of benefits. IT IS ALL ABOUT HIM AND LINING HIS OWN POCKETS.
DO NOT WORK FOR HIM OR HIS FAMILY.

The fact that I know Mr. Medina leads me to believe that he DID NOT write the above post. However… Mr. Shapiro & Company have made many enemies in this business and, as a former Employee, I must sat that I AGREE with everything written here. Shapiro is a CROOK, A LIAR and general P.O.S.

I should have listened to you guys. I sent the owner a resume for a bartender position at the new West Village location. She seemed very excited and was aggressive in wanting to interview me. Since the new place has yet to open, I schelped up to the East Side. My interview lasted exactly one minute. She informed me that a former employee who had been on tour was coming back and was going to be the bartender. It was a total waste of my time. A true professional would have called me and cancelled the appointment.
I see that he is STILL up his old tricks. HOW this guy is still in business is beyond me. He has been SUED more times than you can imagine and is a TOTAL LIAR AND THIEF.
Now he and his wife have their no-talent nasty Daughter running things. I can’t wait for the day that this guy winds up in jail.
I worked for him at Zocalo (This same locaton) and obviously NOTHING has changed.
