We all know that by choosing to work in a NYC restaurant it’s going to be tough whether your a server or a cook, a chef or a GM. Also it’s lots of fun, the drunkeness, the fucking in the dry storage, in the bathroom, in the office, etc. It’s true that there are some places that are really, really awful in their totaliity but there are others that could be good places. However in these there always are two or three people who make hell for the rest of the staff. This page should be named SHAMELESS RESTAURANT PEOPLE then we all get to know who are the major assholes in the industry. Here it goes…
On top of my list is Jason Hennings this asshole is the one who used to own August, Diablo Royale and recently European Union in the lower East Side. Mark my words this quasi man is the scum of the earth. And I feel sorry
for the chefs and waiters who’ll work for him because sooner or
later they’ll find out what an unhappy and ugly individual he is. Of course
he still in the closet and pretends to be very manly and strong. Therefore abuses the young waitresses and the rest of the staff. But first he will be you best friend later you’ll find out. Still do not believe me … Hey Jason you still owe me 1600 dls.!!!










at this point naming names wouldn’t matter but once upon a time i was hired to work in a “famous” chefs “famous’ restaurant” that catered to “famous” people.
i was quite impressed and eager during my interview~it seemed like the general manager and i were going to hit it off famously.
what happened to change her mind about me between hiring me and my first day of training i do not know but this woman was one of the most heinous people i’ve ever worked for or with. tantrums, inappropriate language and conduct, harassing employees on their off days, coming on to the straight bartenders and then firing them when they wouldn’t put out, drug and alcohol use and the thing with me is i’m a pretty good guy and a serious worker~there was no slacking on my part..in fact my sales and tip averages were always among the highest on staff. it seemed the better i would perform or the more compliments i would get the worse i would get treated. six months into this job i ended up getting fired for complaining that i wasn’t cut first on a double shift…i.e. she let people who were only working dinner leave early whereas i had been there to open at lunch and was expected to work straight throguh until closing. i was told i was “bringing her down” and this psycho looney even followed me to my next job making reservations and requesting me as a waiter just to give me a hard time.
people eventually get whats coming to them. it all exploded in her face and she left new york city in disgrace to go back to her home town to disappear off the face of anything that matters ever again.
i’m actually thinking of looking her up and sending her a “get well soon” card.
