These people do not pay for 30 hours of training. I got hired and they flat out told me this. I checked with the NY labor department and confirmed my suspician that it is indeed not legal to not pay for training. This place seemed shadey from the beginging, being hired with out a formal interveiw, not getting an answer as to how much money I would make, etc. I knew I wasn’t going to take the job so when I told them that not paying was against the law I was called back five minutes later saying that there was a miscommunication and they had hired someone else. I then told them I would be reporting them to the NY department of labor.

I read about this place after an interview and found out the owners take a portion of the tips!!!!???
I dont normally post comments here, but in this case I thought I should. As someone who a few months back did a very brief stint at this place (dreadful), I can HONESTLY say that unless they have changed their policy of NO PAY for training (and by that I mean nothing..) in the recent months..then the previous comment is a blatant lie.
This joke of a place has been written about so many times. Why are they still in business? Does anyone report them? I’m tired of reading about this joint. Report them and end the b.s. with them. I’ll report them and I’ve never even considered working with crap like that.
They have so many complaints on this site.
Just don’t work there,or take the job and suck it up till you find a new one.
Craigslist must make a mint off them as the post constantly.
If you want to “fix” them just call the IRS.
The worst job in the world. They treat the workers like dogs. No pay and they play games with the tips. Stay far away they should be banned from cragislist which is a joke if your looking for a job.
Again, there may be many things to complain about, but this is not one. A job applicant had a misunderstanding. No tips are paid. They do pay an hourly rate for training
