This is a sign of a sad restaurant
Establishment: Centovini
Location: Soho
This is what was posted on craigslist:
CENTOVINI, a chic Italian boite in SoHo serving top-notch seasonal Italian cuisine (Patti Jackson) and world class Italian wines (selected by proprietor Nicola Marzovilla) is looking for polished servers with strong wine knowledge.
If you’re a gracious and friendly person with minimum two-star dining experience who enjoys working with a team of terrific folks, then by God, we want to meet you!
Please, take a bath, turn your phone off, put on some clean clothes and bring your resume and sparkling personality to CENTOVINI @ 25 West Houston between Greene & Mercer on MONDAY from 4:30 to 6:30 or WEDNESDAY from 4:00 to 5:00.
Why would anyone waste their time posting an ad like this? Who wants to bet no one with 2 star experience shows up?

These folks have layed out what it takes to be successful in their environment.
I am a regular, love the food and the wine and have found the servers to be great.
Note to file: shower the next time I go in for dinner!
I Love this place: the manager, Christina is a gem, and knows the industry inside and out. I’ve only had wonderful and inventive meals here. The service has always been top-notch.
xxx and c2, this is for workers not managers, so Cristina, don’t post here. It’s really Shameless! Place sounds awful. I’ll bet you showed your stupid post to the owner.
I LOVE Patti Jackson and that ad sounds like something she would say.
She is cool as long as you are not stupid.

i read this ad too…made me chuckle. i interviewed at this place a few years back. my first interview went very well…the manager and i got along well enough to get a call back but during my second interview my interviewer (i forget if he was the owner, head chef,a partner…or what have you…)pretty much laid out a nightmare scenario that spelled out low income, lots of family drama and a “waiters are a dime a dozen” attitude.
