Anyone ever worked for this restaurant?
Establishment: Portland City Grill
Location: Portland
I’m thinking about applying for a job at PCG. Has anyone ever worked there or know anything about the company that owns PCG? My friends warn me against it because it is cookie cutter corporate food and that they’re 4 years behind the culinary curve. I’ve looked at the menu and while I notice that they’re still doing Asian/ Fusion( so 1998).. I need a strong company that can provide benefits. Any feedback would be helpful.

I have a very good friend that works at the Grill and overall thinks it is a solid company, good job and terrific benifits that aren’t impossible to qualify for. From what he tells me they treat their employees better than most places and the bottom line is they are the highest grossing restaurant in Portland. Ca-ching!










If you’re thinking of applying for a kitchen job, (i’m assuming) I would advise against it. Management has their heads up their ass, the Chef De Cuisine (for lack of a better title) Ryan OBrien, is a blow hard douche bag with delusions of grandeur. RUI is a shitty company to work for who is only interested in making a profit for their shareholders and don’t give a shit about their employees.
