Doug I am not sure why you would write this about the Gypsy it is all lies. You worked for me and lets face it, we let the company down. It is time to move on and let by gones be by gones.

My name is Ben Gilmer I will not hide behind some annonymous blog nick name. I have worked for CEG for the last 3 years. I took over the Gypsy 3 weeks ago. The place was very dirty. It is not ownership’s responsibility to clean. It is not ownership’s job to train the staff. The company hires managers for this. Past managers are no longer here because THEY let the place get dirty, had untrained staff and sales were in steady decline. People need to have some level drive and take ownership of their duties. They Gypsy looks great now, is clean and has a motivated staff. Not because of ownership, because current management takes pride in their job. The food here is fantastic, some of the best in the company. sales have already started to go up. Take a look at yourself, you created the environment that I am now fixing. I feel sorry for you Doug.

While I’ve never worked for CEG, I’ve also never heard anything but really, really negative comments across the board—and they do appear to have a quite high turnover rate (as well as painful delusions of grandeur). So I’m happy for the two other managers who have positive comments, but I do tend to believe the original post

Really?? Ben do you think new upholstry on the booths makes it look great now? Thats all you’ve done, besides firing the entire staff except for 3. What about comments on the rats and coach roaches issues?? They are all over that kitchen. Do you really think people want to eat there?? If so you are sadly mistaken. And please dont feel sorry for me, I am not the one with my nose shoved in my bosses rear.

The Gypsy is a bridge and tunnel douchebag bar. Always has been, always will be. Keep serving the gross fishbowls, keep letting your custies do blow in your gross bathrooms, keep over serving the idiots. It will always make money on the weekends…what about the rest of the week? To show what CEG is all about they faked posted Scott B comments on here. I am the manager that posted about how bad it is and Scott was my GM until a week after they laid me off they fired him. I talk to him frequently and he never posted that comment. Keep lying to everyone and yourself, Jeff and Ben, thats what you good at!!

I think that its is beyond hilarious to take the attitude that “its not the owner’s responsibility to do this and that….” To be clean? Yes, it is. To train? Really?
