Management and BOH take half of servers tips from the tip pool. That is half my paycheck! They already make much more per hour, plus they get half our tips! I hate this job!
This is wrong that ‘management’ take their share of tips. Unethical even…..BOH, different story. The threads that were introduced {old shameless restaurants site} regarding this subject of management & tips was much discussed. I’m surprised this is still practiced. The only way to combat this is to go elsewhere, because I don’t believe it is an unlawful practice, but a unethical one instead. Very, very disrespective.
