Believe it or not, there’s a school that makes WCI look good in comparison and it’s in Vancouver. Run away and do NOT waste your time or $$$ there!!! The textbooks are 15+ years old, the curriculum minimal and pointless, and the “resources” are non-existent. You will get to work for their events and cook for their restaurant, though—for which you’ll pay them.
And if all of that doesn’t sound awesome enough, you can pay lots of $$$ to live in “campus housing”, which are run down apartments the school owns. There, if you’re young and attractive, you’ll have the opportunity to actually make money, as a hooker for the prostitution ring connected with it. But be careful not to get caught with alcohol there, cause that’s a violation and will get you evicted.
After your wasted 9 months and $9,000+ ($17,000 for the culinary program), you will be placed if you’re in hospitality: as a front desk associate or junior hostess—the exact same positions you would have obtained with a high school education. If you’re in culinary, you’re on your own
Noticed they’re hiring again. 5 years’ management experience so they can pay you $30K or less! The economy isn’t THAT bad!
