Food Team aka All Team is a fraud No W2s for 2009
Establishment: Pacific Coast Hospitality Staffing aka All Team aka Food Team
Location: Portland, Bend, Seattle
DO NOT BE FOOLED. All Team is the same company as Food Team, the company which defrauded the state of Oregon out of it’s taxes, causing delays for dozens of UI recipients in the last 18 months. To date, No one who worke3d for Sean WIlliams and Food Team in 2009 between Jan and June of 2009 has yet recieved a w2, comlicating Financial Aid for many. These people claimed to be going bankrupt, but simply reemerged under a different name- yet they are still part of Resources in Food?Food Team/All Team, out of Illinois. THe part of the company which was located in Plorida was known as Ware ENterprises, even though the checks came from St. Louis. I was warned not to work for Sean WIlliams, but I was dumb enough to belienve the guy who hired me when he said there were opportunities. I should have gone with my gut instinct when I met Sean WIlliams, who gives off an air of weasel. I have since discovered working for another agency that these people have their bad reputation for a reason- burned Food Team temps are everywhere, ask around the industry and see for yourself. THe guy who hired me left when the office moved, (the people at the old address claimed they left owing nearly half a years back rent) and there is a guy nemaed Rob who smugly repeats the lie that it was a bankruptcy, and they know nothing about “those people” who ran it before. Sean Williams ran it before. No bankruptcys were filed in this companies name in Florida, Oregon, or Illinois. If you have had this problem PLEASE send a reprot to the IRS requesting a full inquiry into this matter, and file a complaint about your w2!

Oh my….I worked for Food Team from 2004 till about 2007. I forget her name, but a really wonderful lady used to run that location. Then, she was fired because some Food Team idiot, who worked a golfing event, got drunk on the job and caused a scene…then we got Sean. Man, I hated that guy and I would sicken myself to kiss his ass because that was the only way to get work! He was/is a weasel and the people he sometimes hired to work the front desk were horrible and corruptible women. Yes, I too worked the Convention Center gigs and they were HELL! The Convention Center union workers were/are the laziest lot and were being paid far better than us Food Teamers. Back in the day, we had some really great people working with Food Team. We’d go into any place, take over, and get shit done and done right.
Then, Sean started hiring some really crappy people…young girls who talked on their cell phones while working the floor, stinky weird ladies, and clueless people who never catered or couldn’t lift a tray. He started to give all the good shifts to the new people and screwing all the people who’d been putting up with his shit for years. So, I left, never to return. Do not work for this company and do not hire from this company!!
Ahh….Food Team. I figured I got out when I did - a positive force for me. Some folks go way back with them…when they were in their previous locations and their present on Fremont. Sean seemed to have rotating “help” for some time until he snatched Rob, whom is the antithesis of such a suspected character as Sean. What is there future here in Portland? Hard to say, as their rep is preceding them. Coming back to bite them on their hind-quarters.
Actually, Food Team/All Team was great when Tammy ran it, before Sean Williams. As for Rob Atkins, he is hardly the antithesis of Sean, he simply lies better. Overbooking shifts to cover “shortfalls” is still a common practice, with the “winners” being selected on looks and apparent willingness to flirt with Sean or curry Rob Atkins misguided political favors. In my eyes, Rob is the worst, because he’s been there longer than anyone who worked with Sean- either he is an idiot, or he is just a crooked and sleazy as Sean. Look close and see for yourself. Ask him about showing up for a shift and being turned away in favor of a “new hire” who can’t seem to find her way around a beverage station but gets shift after shift. Especially irritating when the young, attractive, female temp who got the shift is late for check-in. Check-ins are crap, I don’t know why they bother. Rob has said you have to be 15 minutes early to really make the check-in, though no one is ever paid for being there 15 minutes early. He will look at the floor and look away before he offers some lame excuse as to why it was “necessary”. But if they can’t staff something, and Sean calls in desperation to fill it, God help you if you are already committed. Sean will drop you faster than a hot potato, until of course, the next time he and Rob can’t deliver 20 servers with 2 hours notice. This is without a doubt the worst staffing agency I ever worked for, without question. Like many I kept going back, because I needed the money here and there. I never got my 2009 tax info either, but the IRS didn’t make temps pay for the missing taxes. I had no problems with that. But after 6 years, of dealing with these people I wasn’t surprised at all. You lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas. The good news is, a lot of the Johnny come lately’s that so enchant Sean and Rob usually wind up burning them as soon as they get a job. The convention Center is a hellhole, that’s why they are so wrapped up in each other. Without a handy force of easy to abuse non-union temps to fill in the holes in their schedule, they couldn’t even operate. Not that the union employees are any prize, as was noted above.
And if you are looking for work, try one of the many places that refuse to use All Team or any business connected to Sean Williams. There are a lot of managers (some of whom once worked for this company)in this city that consider being mistreated by Sean an endorsement.
Which is why, thankfully, I don’t use them anymore. Hopefully, we’ll get our W2’s this year.
Check out the Food Team thread in the Seattle section of this site for more. Sean Williams gets around.
Wow, this is interesting. My experiences were in Seattle, so i am going to post something there after I have a few minutes to think about it. Nothing in this thread surprises me, in fact it clears up a lot. Wow.

Typical of Portland.
I worked for Food Team during 2009, and I also didn’t receive a W2. I had worked at the Red Lion, where Sean Williams was terminated prior to becoming manager of Food Team. Given the circumstances of that mess, I probably should have known better.
The shifts I got were the mostly at the Oregon Convention Center (a hellhole),and twice I showed up a half an hour before check in, only to be turned away by Chris Phillips (mentioned in the link you posted above) in favor of young women who were not even on the sign in sheet, wasting my time. The second time I’d cancelled another shift somewhere else because they were supposedly desperate to fill the order.
I also had problems getting my paychecks in a timely manner, always told it had to go through Florida office to be resolved- it took a month, and I gave up on this man and his business at that point. So it was not a big surprise when I didn’t have my W2 by February 15th. I was told by Rob, the guy now running the office that they would be late, and in late April it would be in June. In July Rob and Sean Williams both told me that Food Team had gone bankrupt, and no one had any idea how to reach Bonnie Pollack, who had disappeared. Her signature is on the checks I have till June 2009 I had a seasonal layoff for the holidays last year, and I was back at work before I got my back unemployment. I did get the back unemployment eventually, though. I was also told by DES/UI that Food Team did not have a tax # for 2009, and that no employment taxes were paid by Food Team, causing the delay. So, no W2’s, no employment taxes paid, but money for taxes was most definitely taken out of my paycheck. Where did it go?
If that isn’t enough to warn you away from doing business with Mr. Williams and the company known as All Team/Food Team, you deserve whatever you get. Overall, the shifts I got were all places that didn’t seem to be able to keep their own staff. Not that you could apply for a job at these places, it is part of the All Team/Food Team contract that you cannot apply for a job at anyplace you did a Food Team shift at for six months, a rule which Mr Williams seems gung ho to enforce. It is also interesting to go to the main website for Resources in Food/Food Team (Google it) and check out the Portland page. The site claims they have over twenty years experience in the field, and there is no mention of any bankruptcy. For a good laugh, check out the “testimonials” page. Doesn’t bear any resemblance to my experiences in Portland or Denver. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. As the guy at complaints.com noted, this is a service, and anybody looking to pick up shifts with this company should follow his advice. Caveat Emptor.
