Gregg Schillinger???

Establishment: On Deck, Paddy’s, Gracie’s…

Location: Portland

I interviewed for the commission only position and appear to have not been selected. But that’s okay, ’cause a bit of research has turned up this guy as a Hayden level fraud. I had a feeling given his lame consulting website http://www.coachingrestaurants.com/ and a variety of less than complimentary comments about him after WW’s article on his ouster from Gracie’s back in 2007.

Does anyone here have some horror stories they’d like to share?

He doesn’t own it anymore, it was bought by the owners of North 45. Yes, he is known to be very shady, not sure why. The owners that took over Paddy’s are awesome.

I meant Paddy’s….oops!

I have stories for miles.

The Man—please share!!! :-)

Stay away from this guy. If you need help with your restaurant, he is NOT the answer. There are plenty of legitimate, honest, hard-working, and experienced consultants out there that are much more qualified.

Portland is a small town, and he’s outstayed his welcome. He’s burned too many bridges, failed or blew up too many businesses, and stiffed too many people.

If anyone is foolishly considering engaging this guy as their consultant, ask for references including the last few places he’s been.

Beware.

It would appear that his consulting biz has slowed (and perhaps On Deck realized he was useless). I was in his email history (from applying for that commission only position) and he sent me some link to sign up for something (as his “good friend”) that would give me lots of spam and him a $1 finder’s fee.

I worked for Gregg Schillinger for a year. He’s a remarkable, unique combination of crazy as a bat and a lying sack of shit. Seriously, surreal–never seen anything like it.

When the pay checks started bouncing, he told me he had an agreement with his bank that if I deposited the check into my bank, his bank would make sure that it cleared–so don’t try to cash the check at his bank.

That’s bunk, of course, and HIS banker told me so when I asked him. The truth is, it puts your bank in between you and him. Rather than avoid this man, I say beat the shit out of him.

Don’t have cash to buy a house? Don’t worry, because this is achievable to receive the business loans to resolve all the problems. So get a car loan to buy all you need.
