Mahers is a small Irish bar restaurant that opened last summer in Lake Oswego ,
owned by the Maher family from Dublin there are 6 members of the family who work some shifts at the restaurant the father , mother and 4 of the kids the 4 kids have never once tipped out the staff of any shift they work on (claiming that its the only money they get) while they insist that the other waiters and bar staff do so.
The staff are treated like shit by these people who have virtualy no restaurant experiance them selves it seems every time a member of the family needs a job another staff member has there hours cut which is amazing as only 2 of them worked there when it opened and needed lots of work doing on now it dose good buisiness they all want shifts and the satff who worked so hard to help get the place going are dumped to give these spoilt children jobs

hey scott shut up this sounds like the truth about this bar I was a regular untill the family all started working there and most of the staff were let go .
What made this place a sucsess was its staff the waitress where friendly and hard working the 2 local chefs they had working part time cooked great food including the best Irish breakfast and steak and kidney pies Ive ever had but they are gone and so is the good food now all you have is a bunch of arogant kids pretending they know how to run a bar I WILL NOT RETURN
Whatever Dave and Joe I have never been written up on this or any other site. I glad a dad is taking care of his family and putting his kids to work. It sounds like either of you are fathers or if so your terrible fathers. Losers
Your a bitter man Scott but all I have to say is if he was much of a father looking after his family its a pity most of them did not start at the bar at the opening day not until the hard work of others had got it off the ground as I said these kids are lazy unfriendly losers with a rich daddy bank rolling them
hey just before they cut all the staffs hours the father took the whole family on vacation to Mexico for a week leaving the staff in charge the same staff that were then told they were not needed any more’

the more I know about the scum bag Maher kids the angryer I get these people are pure filth and the daughter is the bigest bottom feeder Ive ever met makes me sorry to be female what a little bitch the fact she just plain stole little Cheseas job from her is nothing more than pure evil ( Chelsea was the face of Mahers the hardest working waitress in town ) like Dave I have stopped going to this bar and I urge all good people to take their hard earned money else where
‘The family’ is going to open another place in LO soon. Daves good friend is the one building all the condos,buying more property.
Chelsea was a great and friendy server,what a lost,for what the rude daughter?. They are all lazy,and pick the brains of those who know what their doing,getting just what they need then disgard them. Lets hope customers wake up and see who these greedy buggers are,or LO is going to lose what makes it special.

hey heres some good news about mahers Chelsea is back it bweems after the family trashed all her shifts they gave them back to her so she was running the place sunday and monday night this week the sad news is the plase is now open again for breakfast on the weekends but not with English chef that used to do it and the food is terrible they have put on a make your self bloody mary bar believe me you need to be drunk to eat at this place now
And…for the people moving here from Maine (later post) this Scott is the type of people managing and owning restaurants here in Portland…all mean spirited little pricks. Anyway, sorry to jump on your post.
I went there for an interview when Dave Maher wanted me to be there and he left me sitting in the dining room for 45 minutes when his lame supposed chef and his ast. came …..later Dave said sorry he forgot about me . I have the same last name but mine is spelled the real Gailic way and I kind of went just to see how stupid Dave really is !!!!!!!I’m lucky that they didn’t call me back so I didn’t have to refuse to work in such a pitiful kitchen. I would never eat there …..they don’t even have a hood system in the rag joint !!!!!!!!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Why do employees bitch about owners giving them a job? Why dont you shut your shitty mouth and buy your own bar you asshole. I wish you had enough balls to put your name down I would to know so I never will hire at my restaurants.
