The owners call this place ‘authentic Italian’ even though they only read about Italy from books they checked out at the Library and not from ever going to Italy. They admitted this during training. Their managers ‘Micro-Manage’ to the point of exhaustion. They have surveilance cameras all over each restaurant, but not for security. It’s so Joe-Blow and bug-eyed Paul can sit at home and watch the employees. They actually watch the cameras from home and will call the restaurant if they see an employee not up to code. Pretty crappy company, not to mention how they take advantage of their employees. Pastshitty.

Yep. Susie and Craig. 2 incompetant, A-hole owners who really don’t care about employees. They actually admit they’ve never been to Italy, but they were inspired by an Italian restaurant in the Bay area, so they read books from the library to ‘learn’ authentic Italian. What a joke.

Imagine that….management sides that are indifferent towards their employees. Never ever exist in the food/hospitality fields…..{sarcasm noted}

Another chain that boast itself as an ‘independent’ approach, whereas their corporate dominated, cookie-cutter practice is boring. Nothing authentic about their corporate cusine. Is that lady {corporate chef} still affiliated with them?

I worked there 2 weeks as a mgr. trainee I worked 10 doubles on the floor as a server, while the District mgr who was on pain meds all day for a bad back yelled screamed micro managed then took us for drinks after our shift. wtf? Cheap prices imitation Italian food horrible owners and a morphine addicted DM made my decision to leave quite easy. All the employees were made to be neurotic. I had several positive comment cards while working there and the DM accused me of having my friends come in to eat! I’m glad I left….

Pastini management is a bunch of puppets who have to write people up for any little thing including not bringing bread to the table or refilling beverages. Corporate is so far up their asses they dont know how to actually manage the staff. Micro-manage is more like it. Micro managing Puppets like Corey Donovan suck. Ashton-Corey-Kutcher.

I love seeing people complain because managers want them to do their job…GASP, the nerve!

It’s not that they are complaining about managers telling them to do a job…they are complaining about how shitty the managers are. If you work or have worked for Pastini, you would know that from top to bottom, all the corporate people are douche bags that have their heads up their own ass. Oh, by the way Joey, its ‘do’ not ‘due’ you manly server you.

I think it really is about lazy workers that want to make money but don’t want to work for it.

If you don’t like it there then open your own restaurant & run it your way…orrrrrrr…shut up!

I have been with Pastini longer than you would think. And worked side by side with everyone named here. Before there was a so called corporate! Yes before Corey and Paul, I have worked with Craig and Susie when they were their own mangers and ran their ass off. Yes I have seen them due it all from dishes to taking orders,

What due you due when you have a bill do, dude?

Pastini is going through growing pains and is a neurotic mess trying to satisfy all their debters. So much for the Starbucks model. Working or eating there will give you ulcers. But you know people love butter, cream and fat from Sysco. This place is not the Mediterranean diet.
