Poster's Story Title:   Craigslist -Photos and female only Name Of Establishment:   You name em' Location:   All Over Story:   Are there any male bartenders out there tired of sexual discrimination and photo only ads being posted by craigslist. We all know that a bar only interested in hiring a woman, will. But the blatant perpetuation of this discrimination based on gender is intolerable and increasingly taken to new levels.IE, Photos only considered, model types, head shots etc.. My experience has shown that these establishments have no problem attracting male clientel. But too many places think that an attractive but terrible "hot" female will increase business. What they really need to know is a good male bartender will attract many more female customers. What female guest wants the bartender to attract all the attention in the bar? We have scores and hooters for that. Something should be done! Picket? Attract the media to this situation? suggestions? Posted by a bartender tired of the double standard Response Story:   Go work for Hospitality Holding's (Campbell Apartment, Carnegie Club, Bookmarks) because they won't hire FEMALE bartenders only MALE. The ladies get the luxury of running up and down the stairs in heels thank you very much. Yes what is being done is wrong and sexist but women still get shafted most of the time and remember that even though they may want women we still have to submit "headshots" or "comp cards" to prove how hot we are. Sexism is wrong no matter which way it goes and it sucks for us too! However, best of luck and you might want to try more of those "old school" types of bars where they like male bartenders.
