Love to constantly be criticized, yelled at and/or grilled?
Want to work for a douchey GM with an undeserved sense of
entitlement, who wears a Prince Valiant haircut accessorized with
a treble-clef earring (s**t you not) and takes out his inner
rage over not realizing his own dreams on his waiters by
constantly yelling/cursing at them and generally treating them
like senseless half-wits? Here at Michael's, we can promise
you 7 solid shifts a week and then give you 2. Armed with a
20 table section a shift...you can haphazardly sharpen your
skills by waiting on some of the most high-maintenance clientele
in NYC!!! We ask that you call in everyday before your shift
so we can tell you whether you're working or not. NOTHING is
guaranteed so don't make any plans! We offer no benefits, no
respect and a generally abusive workplace. Must have a strong
back since you will be doing a lot of heavy lifting as you move
tables and chairs downstairs daily to make room for our steady
schedule of private parties. Plus, you get to do all of this
while looking like a complete tool in your time-warp pink Polo
shirt, diagonal-striped tie and white apron!! Tre-chic! Only
true gluttons for punishment need apply... or Mexicans.

No shit! I trained at this fucking hellhole two years ago and
the memory is still very sharp indeed. I remember that you are
yelled at like you are a child and are treated like you are a
third class citizen in another country. To make matters worse
you are right about not being able to have a life and are
required to marry your job there and making no money in the
process. What a fucking joke, right? I remember the GM as being
an overweight, middle-aged and hostile guy that berated me after
my first day of work. I agree that the uniforms are so twenty
years ago. And also the computer system or should I say
lackthereof is highly questionable. When I was told that I had
to remember every key on the computer because the owner is too
cheap to purchase a modernized touch computer like the rest of
the country. I knew after my first shift that this place was
going to be too brutal. All of the employees seemed overworked
and bitter. And a majority of the clientele thinks that their
shit does not stink and that ther are infallible. Need I say
more. This place SUCKS! It reminds me of taking off a stinky
sock and wanting to gasp for breath. That duche of a GM is
probally still there and hating life. How sad is that? Not my
problem. I would rather collect welfare then work for this dump.
