Hi, First off, let me say that Marc Murphys is the nicest,
most professional guy on earth. He always looks you in they eye,
says hello, and thanks you for your work. His management crew,
however, is a bunch of amateurs. I chatted up one server manager
and asked about her background. She trained to be a professional
boxer, and that was about it, NO RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE! Another
one basically is a nerd who spouts wine minutiae like a robot and
follows you around looking for the slightest thing to criticize,
not to mention having the emotional range of a calculator. But I
digress. I only stayed here for two weeks, so things may have
gotten better. The view and location is alluring, but the hours
are nonsensically, brutally long, and the money you walk with sub
par for the hours you work. You come in at 3:30pm, stand around
like a dumbass until 7pm when the restaurant gets busier and work
til midnight if you're lucky. If you close, you leave at as late
as 3am. IS THIS LEGAL??? The breakfast and lunch shift are
pitiful - I think the average was like 30-50 dollars for 10am to
5pm shifts. Stay away if you value your time. That being said,
people were able to work 40+ hours and have the sheer physical
stamina to keep on your feet for 12 hours straight, I hear some
people pull in 1000 after taxes a week, but just be prepared for
long long hours. I definitely noticed that after a few weeks,
all the girls quit or dropped off and basically a bunch of
warrior looking dudes could handle the brutish labor.
