Story

You'll never come across another human being in your life like
DAVE HUNT, a partner in Coogan's on Broadway & 168th St, he
really is a piece of work. From growing up in the business and
seeing how thing go in NYC, I came to the conclusion a while ago
that a paranoid owner is of the mind set, "I stole enough to buy
a place so they must be stealing from me," leading to a further
thought, the more paranoid the owner the bigger the thief thy
where. He has no management skills what so ever or real
knowledge of stock control. He belittles and screams at his staff
in front of customers as he think he's superior. Prime example,
he came to the bar area one day and screms how many Red Bull are
on stock once told the amount he said he was missing one from the
night before and accused the bartender of stealing it, (which
makes you think its under control), but when you consider that it
takes 2.5 pints to pour a pint of draft beer it leaves alot to
the imagination. The old night porter for six months was drinking
all the open wine, they finally found him sleep drunk one morning
and that is what tipped them off. He fired his best female
bartender for credit card fraud three weeks after it happened,
and was accusing another who was not even working at the time it
occured, to later have a server arrested three months later for
the offence, to this day she has not found a bartending job, (bad
reference???), but certainly no appology. This is only the tip
of the iceberg as they say I could right a book on my experience
there. For a place that has a really great business which I
would attribute to his other two working partners. It would be
really nice if they bought him out and watch it grow, but one is
not that interested and the other has not a big enough share, on
the other hand he will not sell I"m sure as they are on a winner
with the hospital, precints, fire houses and schools in the
area. So many staff so little time, I've never seen a turnover
like. For your own sanity stay away.....
