Story

I have NEVER worked in such a horrendous restaurant before in my
life. To give an overall evaluation they are complete and total
foreign ass##les! They treat their employees like yesterdays
trash, tax your tips (yup that’s right) and let a cat parooze
throughout the restaurant at its leisure. They start you out at
25%, which means you only get 1/4 of what you earn. They tell you
that you will get up to 100% within a few weeks. I was there for
a month and was at an astonishing 50%. I had just as many tables
as the rest of the servers, but earned half as much…you tell me
how that makes any sense. They quiz you daily on anything and
everything…sauces, entrees, appetizers, wines, your phone number,
how many times you think the owner blew coke before he came and
how you really think his fiancé moved up in the chain of
command.. hmmm I wonder BJ anyone! The management is full of
losers! Alberto is a complete jackoff and has absolutely no
social skills. The owner wont acknowledge your presence because
he thinks he is a Columbian drug lord and looks like he is
straight out of the movie Blow. Need another reason NOT to work
at this place? WORST PLACE EVER!!!

I was a waiter at Casa La Femme for over a year. While it is true
that when you’re newly hired you don’t earn the same as the
veteran waiters however, you are given the opportunity to take
the 100% test as soon as you are ready. Part of that test
includes an evaluation by your peers. Why should you get an equal
share of the pool if you don’t know your stuff or can carry your
own weight? What if you don’t know the menu to the same degree of
as the rest of the staff or the wines, and anything that pertains
to product knowledge? Everyone thinks they are so “Special” and
that everything should just be handed to them. (Makes you wonder
where all the “ordinary” people come from.) So everything is
relegated to what you can and know how to do. You can make as
much money as you are willing to sell, but you have to know “how
to” sell. In another restaurant it’s the same thing. You’re not
given a full station until you know your way around the
restaurant and know the product fully inside out. Casa La Femme
has been in business for over 15 years. This speaks volumes of
its ability to function as a business. And as for you knowing
what goes on in the minds of other people as you projected about
Medhat. You say, he does not acknowledge you because he thinks he
is a drug lord. By the way, it’s “Colombian” not Columbian. There
are no drugs grown in the District of Culumbia, USA. You don’t
know why people do what they do, or what they are thinking
otherwise you might have a different job. Life is hard and hard
situations only make you better. I don’t know what you are
looking for but there is no other better job than to have your
own business. Every boss is going to have fault or a problem,
unlike you who seems to be perfect and without faults.
Personally, I loved looking at the models. It was part of what
made the place an attraction to others. I considered it part of
the advertising. You need to chill, don’t complain so much and if
you’re going to do a job, know how to do it correctly. Oh one
more thing… what’s wrong with paying taxes? You have something
against paying taxes? The line between what is right and wrong
can be moved for you? You wont cheat on your spouse but you wont
pay taxes, at what point does the line get moved again? How can
you be trusted if you make “convenient” exceptions for yourself?
Pay your taxes you self-centered scum bag, like the rest of us.
But I mean that in a “nice way.” If you don’t pay your taxes you
are a criminal or at least UNAMERICAN. Yours is clearly a case of
the pot calling the kettle black. Just because someone does
something you know is wrong does not give any of us the right to
do the wrong thing. If everyone wants to cheat on taxes, let
them. I will pay mine. If everyone wants to do drugs, let them, I
will not. I chose what kind of a life I will live and I am
happier when I don’t compare my insides with other’s outsides.
All in all, I am sure you learned something useful while you were
there. And the only reason why anyone is resistant to the idea of
being a hard-selling food service professional is because they
are afraid of rejection. Your customers might say “NO” to your
suggestions. Get over it. YOU Fucking pussy!!!
