Establishment: Stanley and Seaforts

Location: Tacoma, WA

Now I had heard that stanley and seaforts was a bad place to work, but they were right down the street from my house, so i figured it couldnt hurt to save on gas, so i tried anyway. At the time I was working for one of their affiliate restaurants, Palisade(which by the way if you ever get a chance, is a FANTASTIC place to work)anyway, so I put in a request for a transfer. At the time I put in the request, stanley’s had a broiler position open, which was fine, I was good at broiler, i told my boss at palisade, and he said sure, he would put the transfer in, and then he had to wait to hear back from the hiring chef at stanleys. 2 weeks went by, not a word, despite my numerous calls to see where the transfer was at, and the sous chef at stanleys saying they were getting to it. Finaly my boss at palisade was able to get a hold of the chef there, and at this point they only had a prep position open, but I still wanted to cut down on my commute, so I said sure. My boss at palisade said to go talk to the chef and they would get me onto the schedule as soon as they could. When I went in to talk to them, they told me I could start monday the next week. I still didnt say anything, even though I was appalled, that made it three weeks that I hadnt worked now because I was out of gas money to make it to palisade every day. 4 days after I started working for stanleys, they told me to go home, they didnt feel I was a good fit. 4 days? Are you completly off your rocker? HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU DARE TO KNOW HOW SOMEONE WORKS AFTER ONLY 4 DAYS!!!!!!!!!! They putzed around and putzed around until they got the guy they wanted into the broiler position so that by the time I got there there was only a prep position left, and then they didnt even give me half a chance to get experienced at that! Absolutely, worst place I have ever worked.
