Seattle Restaurants in general
Establishment: Any
Having worked in the restaurant business in Seattle for 20 years, 12 years as a waiter and 8 years as an owner, the bottom line is Seattle is a podunk restaurant city! It’s such a shame that a city so beautiful is completely lame as far as restaurants go. Let’s face it, people in Seattle are cheap, period !! It seems every restaurant has a "Happy Hour". A sure sign of how cheap people really are. I have finally left the beautiful Puget Sound and returned to my bitrhplace in the wine country of Nothern Califonia. What a suprise, NO HAPPY HOURS! People that understand what dining out is supposed to be. People enjoying each others company and eating and drinking not based on price, but on quality. How refreshing. So I say goodbye to Seattle with some remorse because it is so beautiful, but if you want to make a living in this industry, Seattle is second rate!

Hey Chris,
Let’s see, sold it (the restaurant) for quarter million dollars. Still own a house there. Now own a house in northern Cal as well. Your tragic comments just prove my point about the lack of civility in Seattle. Peace!
what a freakin whiner. dont let the door hit you in the ass…you know it all pompass snooty californian sour grape.one tip. pay your bills and dont wear ur emotions on ur sleave
Hey ?????????? you coward./ put your name on the screen when you call someone out. talk about wearing you emotions on you sleeve? take your own advice you pompass ass!!!!
I’ve worked at many places that didn’t have a ‘happy hour’. Customers would say, “When is Happy Hour?” I’d say, “Do I look happy? Then this ain’t the hour.” Usually got a laugh out of them.

Good luck to you and good ridance with that attitude take it from someone who lived in Northern California for 25 years you will miss it and it won’t miss you, sounds like sour grapes from someone who got in over their head and thought they had the talent to open a restaurant.Putz!
