The worst place I have ever worked

Establishment: Spaghetti factory

Location: Lynwood

This was the worst place I have ever worked. The General Manager, Rob Dunn, is the worst person to ever work for. All he does is sit in the office all day and screw around. He will not help you if you are slammed and need help. He is very awkward in dealing with customers, and his people skills are very weak. God forbid the district manager (short little fat lady that walked like a penguin) would come visit. Rob’s nose would be so far up her ass its unbelieveable. I would be embarassed to act like that to my boss, but its the only time you see him out of the office and pretending to work. I saw him bring dinners out to a table (only once) when the district manager was visiting and he gave the food to the wrong table because he got the table numbers mixed up. The customers are the worst, talk about the trailer trash of the trailer trash. People smearing their feces all over the stall walls in the bathroom, people deficating on the floor, drunk people pukeing in the lobby all over the garage sale victorian velvet furniture. Customers always trying to pull a scam over on you. I never saw so many mullets and extreamly fat people that are so fat that they need those motorized weelchair go carts to haul their 400 pound fat asses along. I’m not kidding, this was a normal occourance . We would play "find the skinny person in the crowd" game. It was tough to find people that eat there that were not fat. They are always hiring for all positions and hire people all the time. There is a reason why the employeees dont stick around .

. I HATED WORKING HERE !!!!!! The money is terrible, the customers are ghetto and generally tip very poorly. They run your ass off, completely trash the tables (We’re talking like 10 minutes to clean the grime, smeared sauces, smeared spaghetti, and all the bread crumbs and other trash left behind) and constantly bitch about shit so the can get it for free. I witnessed a lady changing her baby’s diaper right on her table and just left the dirty diaper on top of the table for us to deal with. The sidework is a lot and you get filthy dirty every time you work. I am so glad I don’t work there anymore. I can now say that I know how hell is like.

Seriously… what is wrong w/spagfac? And what is the hate of the fine manager referred to? Me thinks he must be quite excellent to be in charge of people. Isn’t it the superior humans who are given positions of responsibility over those who work in such fine establishments?

By the way, spaghetti factory EVERYWHERE sucks. i’ve worked in the one in Portland and i wont even bother to go into details. well, maybe one…they told me i needed to go home or upstairs and shave so i told them i’ll go home and not come back, in shorter words…SPAG SUCKS BALLS

Any job, any restaurant, is the same: you get out of it what you put into it. The people who complain about not getting enough help are the ones who stood around for the first hour of their shift complaining about not having any tables, then they complain about getting triple sat with 3 tops. If you’re not happy in a job, move on. No one’s forcing you to stay. In fact, I’m sure your supervisors would prefer if you did [move on]. I know that in my experience, I’d much rather work with people who like their jobs. I just think it’s silly to complain about a lot of the points y’all are bringing up. The restaurant itself can’t control the type of people who come in. And I’d love to know what kind of restaurant would allow a drunk guest to puke all over the lobby. In the restaurants I’ve worked for (Spaghetti Factory included), no one was even allowed to get puking-drunk in the restaurant. Sounds to me like a bitter little someone may be exaggerating.

To the guy who didn’t shave: Why don’t you go start your own restaurant with all unshaven males hosting, preparing food, and serving tables. And see how many customers you get. I’m sure you will be rich beyond your wildest dreams. Don’t be ridiculous. If my manager did not fire you for improper grooming, I would quit myself. You have disgraced the whole restaurant industry by putting your own comfort above your customers. Please consider a career as a street performing pan-handler, it’s be right up your alley.

Top Chef is a DOUCHE. Enough said…
